PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The New England Institute of Technology’s 2019 graduating class flipped their tassels at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence Sunday.

Former Boston Celtics player and Fall River native Chris Herren was the commencement speaker. He and community leader Donald Sweitzer received honorary degrees.

“Make the commitment to inspire, share your gift with others, and don’t ever give up on your dream because trust me it’s never too late to live it,” Herren told the graduates.
