East Providence police look to identify break-in suspects

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — East Providence police need the public’s help identifying a man and a woman wanted in a home break-in in the Riverside section of the city.

The incident happened in the area of Avenue A and Middle Street on Saturday afternoon.

Police say a man wearing a white tee shirt, red shorts, a red cap and black and white sneakers went into the backyard.

He kicked in the door to a storage area and broke a window, before jumping over the backyard fence and taking off.

Earlier in the day, a suspicious woman knocked at the door of the same residence.

Police say she appears to be a light skinned Hispanic female with red highlights to her hair.

She was wearing a black sweatshirt with a red shirt underneath, gray sweatpants and black boots.

Police also say there was suspicious activity in the area the night before.

If you have any information, you’re asked to call East Providence police.
