Driver rescued from SUV after tip-over crash in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A crash in Providence Monday morning left an SUV on its side but the driver wasn’t seriously hurt.

The crash took place around 8:30 a.m. on View Street.

The woman was trapped as a result, according to a fire official on scene, and was pulled from the vehicle by first responders. She was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

A tow truck has since flipped the SUV upright and towed it from the scene.

It didn’t appear that any other vehicles were involved.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this time.
