DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) – If you’re afraid of snakes, then this story is probably not for you.

Saturday was a wild night for the Dartmouth Police Department after they came across a 6-foot-long boa constrictor on Memorial Avenue.

Police captured the snake and posted all about their “slippery situation” on their social media pages.

Dartmouth police believe the snake is an escaped pet and are asking anyone who may know the owner to contact the police department.
