CVS CEO to be special guest at State of the Union address

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — President Obama is getting ready to deliver his sixth State of the Union address at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

CVS Health CEO, Larry Merlo, will be a special local guest in attendance, according to our news partners at The Providence Journal.

He will be attending as a special guest of first lady Michelle Obama.

Merlo took the helm at the Woonsocket based company more than three years ago.

He was praised by President Obama last year, when he announced CVS Health would stop selling tobacco products.
