Coventry takes part in Little League World Series parade

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (WPRI) — The games don’t start until Thursday, but the festivities are underway in Williamsport for the Little League World Series.

Each of the 16 teams – including Coventry Little Leaguers – had their own float in the 14th Annual Little League World Series Parade.

This year’s grand marshal is Ozzie Smith, former St. Louis Cardinals shortstop whose nickname is “The Wizard of Oz”. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2002.
