PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A special prosecutor from the Department of Justice Counterterrorism Unit has been appointed to Nicholas Rovinski’s case.
Gregory Gonzalez will be taking over the Warwick man’s case.
Investigators say Rovinski, David Wright and Usaamah Rahim, who was shot and killed by Boston Police on June 2, were conspiring to support ISIS and behead police.
Rovinski pleaded not guilty in Boston Federal Court last month. He is currently being held without bail.
