FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Crews have cleared the scene of a crash on the Braga Bridge that tied up traffic on I-195 Tuesday morning.

The pickup truck rolled over around 6:30 a.m., causing gridlock in both directions until about 8 a.m.

According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), field staff reported that a subcontractor work crew assisted in lifting the truck onto blocks enough for the driver to free his arm, which was pinned underneath the vehicle.

MassDOT said the driver remained in his truck until emergency personnel arrived. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time.

The sub-contractor, Aetna, is responsible for the majority of the repairs being done to the Braga Bridge.
