TRURO, Mass. (WPRI) — The Coast Guard has suspended its search for a missing 26-year-old off the coast of Cape Cod.
State and local agencies plan to resume searching on Sunday morning.
Coast Guard officials said the man was last seen swimming near the shore of Ballston Beach in Truro on Saturday afternoon.
The search was launched at 2:30 p.m. with a crew from Coast Guard Station Provincetown and a rescue air crew from Air Station Cape Cod responding.
We’re told, a Massachusetts State Police helicopter and the Truro Police and Fire Departments also assisted in the search.
