Car crash sends two UMass Dartmouth students to hospital

DARTMOUTH, Mass (WPRI) – Two UMass Dartmouth students are hospitalized following an early morning crash.

According to Dartmouth Police, a car crashed into a utility pole on State Road near Arcadia Avenue around 12:52 a.m. Saturday.

The driver and passenger of the 2003 Toyota Camry were taken to Rhode Island hospital in stable condition.

The driver was identified as Mustafa Alkhatabeh, 19, and the passenger was identified as Harrianne Errie, 19.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Dartmouth Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
