PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A safety specialist is following up in an investigation after a 30-year-old woman was killed by a bus in Kennedy Plaza.

30-year-old Michelle Cagnon, of Cumberland, was struck and killed by a Peter Pan bus while she was in a crosswalk.

Now, the Amalgamated Transit Union, who represents bus drivers, is saying the is a huge blind spot for the operator in those types of buses.

The union official shared this photo and stated that this was cause of the crash that killed Cagnon.

Providence police said this week that the driver will not face charges.
