Bryant Lacrosse players recovering from norovirus

News

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) – Nearly 3 dozen Bryant University lacrosse players are recovering from the norovirus and are no longer contagious.

Bryant University’s President sent out an email to faculty and staff saying the campus has been scrubbed down and is safe for students to return from Spring Break.

More than 2 dozen other people developed norovirus after eating at Wright’s Farm restaurant in Burrillville.

The Rhode Island Health Department said a sick patron, and not improper food handling, is the likely source of those cases.

Officials are still investigating.

There’s no word if the cases are related.
