Brush fire burns several acres in Swansea

SWANSEA, Mass. (WPRI) — A brush fire burned at least 10 acres of woods in Swansea Monday afternoon.

The fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. off of Locust Street. Swansea’s fire chief said no homes or buildings were in immediate danger.

Fire crews from Barrington and Warren provided mutual aid.

There was no word Monday evening on what might have caused the fire.
