BOSTON, Mass. (WPRI) – Boston celebrated its LGBTQ citizens with a Gay Pride parade in the city Saturday.
LGBTQ standing for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning individuals.
Thousands flooded the streets marching, dancing, and some riding motorcycles in the festival.
Mayor Marty Walsh was in attendance to cut the parade ribbon in Copley Square.
Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, the nation’s first openly-gay A-G, also marched in the parade.
The parade is sponsored by the Boston Pride organization.
