UXBRIDGE, Mass. (WPRI) — The boil order for the water in Uxbridge has been lifted Tuesday late afternoon.

According to a news release, two rounds of sample testing have shown the water is free and clear of bacteria.

The MassDEP has given the official notification that the water is safe for consumption.

On June 19, town officials warned residents to not drink the tap water after a sample had tested positive for E.coli.
