BOSTON (WPRI) — The Spoked-B took to the sky Monday morning after JetBlue unveiled its brand new plane dedicated to the Boston Bruins at Logan International Airport.
The plane, named “Bear Force One,” is the airline’s first plane dedicated to an NHL team. It is jet black with the Bruin’s logo painted onto the tail.
Bear Force One’s inaugural flight took dozens of Bruins fans straight to Raleigh-Durham International Airport to see the Bruins play in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Carolina Hurricanes.
“It’s great for the organization, it’s great for the brand, it’s great for our fans across the country,” Bruins President Cam Neely said. “It really couldn’t have been better.”
The Bruins currently hold at 2-0 series lead against the Hurricanes. Game 3 is slated for Tuesday night.
