BARRINGTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Barrington rescue crews were called to the scene of a rollover crash Saturday evening.
According to witnesses, the crash happened around 7:30 on Route 114 northbound near Barrington Town Hall.
Lieutenant Jason Fanion of the Barrington Fire Department told Eyewitness News that the driver, a woman, reportedly hit some black ice, spun out and struck a light pole.
The woman was the only person in the car, according to Fanion, and good samaritans helped her get out of the vehicle before fire crews arrived. She wasn’t injured and didn’t require medical attention.
The pole was damaged and officials said it will need to be repaired.
