Baby rattle socks recalled due to potential choking hazard

(WPRI) — Midwest-CBK has recalled baby rattle socks due to a potential choking hazard.

According to the Consumer, Product and Safety Commission (CPSC), 22,000 pairs of baby socks are being recalled because small ornaments on the socks can detach, which poses a choking hazard to young children.

The socks were sold at boutique gift stores nationwide from October 2017 through December 2018 for about $10. They were sold in childrne’s sizes 0-12 months and had characters sewn into the toe of the socks, including a snowman, reindeer, whale, flamingo, tiger or shark.

The company said they’ve received one report of the rattle detaching. Parents should immediately take the socks away from their children and contact the company for a full refund.

Consumers can contact Midwest-CBK at 800-394-4225 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT Monday through Friday or email for more information.

Bulk Unlimited is recalling approximately 3,000 children’s globes due to a potential fire hazard.

The recalled globes have a date code of 102018-107 printed on a sticker on the battery compartment cover and on the product packaging right below the UPC or barcode.

Parents should immediately take the recalled globes away from children and contact Bulk Unlimited to receive a free replacement globe. The company says they’re contacting all known purchasers directly.
