Attleboro police arrest robbery suspect

Officers responded to a reported break-in at a convenience store on Route 1 in South Attleboro. When police arrived on the scene around 4:00 a.m., they spotted several people running away.

Authorities tell Eyewitness news the suspects took off in a car on I-95 North. Police eventually caught up with the vehicle after it went off the road near exit 3. The suspects fled into the woods.

One person was arrested, and taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. Police did not say how badly that suspect was hurt.

As of 5:30 a.m. officers were still searching for suspects. It’s not clear how many people remain at large. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
