At least 3 families displaced after Taunton fire


TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) — Multiple families awoke early Thursday morning to their apartment building on fire.

The flames broke out just before 2 a.m. on Summer Street.

As of 5 a.m. the fire was contained to the inside of the house where at least three families lived.

Those families are being helped by the Red Cross.

In an effort to streamline donations for the 42 Summer Street fire victims, the City of Taunton has a protocol in place in which the below agencies are designated to accept and distribute donations.

Monetary Donations:
