BOSTON (WPRI) — The Charles de Gaulle Airport remains open, with flights landing and taking off, though security has been heightened.

Air France passengers were understandably shaken and uneasy at Boston’s Logan Airport, which was departing flights to Paris Friday night.

Some people choose not to get on planes heading to France.

Security has also been stepped up in Boston at the airport and the state house after those terrorist attacks in Paris that have claimed the lives of at least 127 people.

State police said there is no specific threat to Massachusetts, but they have increased security as a precaution.

A plane left Logan Airport at 8:10 p.m. Friday, but not everyone chose to board that plane.

“Something has to happen in France with the immigration situation,” said Diana Cooper. “After what happened with Charlie Hebdo we thought that was an enormous, horrible thing. And this is ten times if not more worse.”

Massachusetts State Police will remain in these areas until further notice.
