FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Fire crews in Fall River were called to a home on Pockross Street Monday afternoon.

According to the district fire chief, the fire started on the second floor of the home. One woman was home at the time but she was able to make it out safely and call 911.

It took firefighters about an hour to knock down the fire, officials said.

Two cats were in the basement of the home when the fire started, but the district chief said he believes they made it to safety.

The Red Cross is assisting four people who live in the home and were displaced.

No injuries were reported.
