2 arrested after police, SWAT team raid Attleboro home

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — An investigation into a recent burglary in which several firearms were stolen led Attleboro police to a home on South Main Street Thursday night.

With the help of a SWAT team, police raided the home and took two men into custody, according to officers on scene.

Attleboro Police Chief Kyle Heagney said the SWAT team was activated since police had intelligence that the suspects and the guns were inside the home, making it a high-risk entry.

After the suspects were arrested, police were seen searching the home with K-9’s, taking photos and leaving with bags of evidence.

Police said the two suspects are expected to appear in court Friday but did not offer their identities or the charges they’re facing.
