1 severely injured after crashing car into tree in Exeter

EXETER, R.I. (WPRI) — A man suffered severe injuries Thursday night after his car crashed into a tree off of Route 102.

Rhode Island State Police said the crash occurred just after 7 p.m. Thursday. The male victim was the only person in the car at the time of the crash.

According to police, the victim suffered severe injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by a Lifestar helicopter.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
