Massachusetts health officials have confirmed a case of measles

BOSTON (AP) — State health officials have confirmed a case of measles diagnosed at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

Officials said Thursday the individual was in several public locations and could have exposed others to the disease.

Measles is very contagious. Health officials listed a series of locations and times where people who are not immune could have been exposed and may be developing symptoms of the disease.

Those locations include Logan Airport, Terminal B, between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 15; the Lexington High School Library between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 16; and the Mabee Town Pool Complex in Lexington between noon and 2 p.m. Aug. 19.

Anyone who visited any of the locations on the dates and times listed should contact their health care provider to confirm their immunization status.
