WHITMAN, Mass. (WPRI) — Police are investigating after a young girl was hit and killed by an MBTA train Tuesday night.

The juvenile was hit by an outbound train on the Kingston Line, according to authorities. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The girl has not been identified and it’s unclear how she ended up on the train tracks.
