Police investigating armed robbery at Framingham Starbucks

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WPRI) — Police are looking for the man who forced his way into and robbed a rest stop Starbucks in Framingham.

Massachusetts State Police said the incident occurred just after 6 a.m. Thursday morning when the man showed a gun and forced his way into the building.

Police said since the Starbucks is located along the Massachusetts Turnpike, it only offers drive-thru service and has no entrance for customers.

Two employees were working at the time of the robbery and police said the man, who was wearing a ski mask, entered through a door employees use.

Police said the man demanded access to the safe and took off with a significant amount of cash.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
