Crews in Killingly, Conn. respond to mill fire

KILLINGLY, Conn. (WPRI) — Crews in Killingly, Connecticut are responding to a mill fire that happened early Saturday morning. 

According to our sister station in Connecticut, WTNH, the fire is at the site of the old Acme Cotton Mill.

East Putnam and the Atwood Hose Fire Company in Wauregan are among the towns assisting Killingly in putting out this fire. 

At this time, officials do not know what caused the fire or if anyone was injured. Bailey Hill Road to Route 101 in Killingly is currently closed at this time.

Killingly is located just over the border from Rhode Island, next to Foster.
