TOPSFIELD, Mass. (WPRI) — A Rhode Island man has set a brand new record at the Topsfield Fair for growing the largest pumpkin.

A spokesperson for the Topsfield Fair said Ron Wallace of Greene, R.I. came in first place in the annual “Pumpkin Weigh-Off” with a pumpkin weighing 2,114 pounds. Wallace’s pumpkin broke the record from 2016 of 2,075 pounds.

This is Wallace’s third time winning the competition. He won back in 2012 with a pumpkin weighing 2009 pounds, the world record at the time, and previously in 2006.
