(WPRI) -- It's been an exciting year for Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts, and it seems to just keep getting better.
After winning his first World Series ring, his third straight Golden Glove Award and learning he was among the top three finalists for the American League Most Valuable Player, Betts took to Instagram to share the best news of all.
On Nov. 6, Betts became a first-time father to a beautiful baby girl.
"Never knew what unconditional love meant or how it felt until I met this little princess," Betts said in his Instagram post.
The team took to Twitter soon after the announcement, congratulating Betts and his girlfriend, Brianna, on their new addition.
"2018 has been pretty epic for Mookie Betts!" the post reads.
Betts has not yet revealed the name of his daughter.
