CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Hundreds of people walked in the Tomorrow Fund’s Annual Stroll at Garden City Center on Sunday.
Many wore shirts commemorating a special person they’ve lost to childhood cancer.
But the mood was festive and light with games, activities and mascots on hand to entertain the many families in attendance.
Funds from the stroll provide support to the families of children with cancer being treated at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
Organizers hoped to reach their 100 thousand dollar goal on Sunday.
Trophies were handed out to the top fundraisers in three categories: Individual, team, school and college/university.
