EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — March is International Women’s Month and Nexstar Nation is honoring those who inspire, lead, and forge the way for other women.
In mid-December, Nexstar stations across the country began accepting nominations for Remarkable Women. These nominees come from all walks of life and were recognized for their self-achievement, impact on families, and contributions to the community.
Beginning on Feb. 11, one of the four local finalists will be featured every Tuesday on Eyewitness News This Morning and The Rhode Show as we tell her story and highlight her accomplishments.
Then, on Friday, March 6, one woman will be chosen from each market. The finalists will travel to New York City and be in the audience of the Mel Robbins Show on Wednesday, March 18, as the winner of the 2020 Woman of the Year award is announced.
