We’re making Healthy Homemade Granola with Chef and co-owner George Doumaney of Portsmouth Publick House.INGREDIENTS

6 Cups – Old Fashion Oats

2 Cups – Unsalted Peanuts

1 Cup – Shredded Coconut

¾ Cup – Brown Sugar (packed)

¾ teaspoons – Salt

¾ teaspoons – Cinnamon

½ Cup – Oil

½ Cup – Maple Syrup

2 teaspoons – vanilla extractDirections:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

In a large mixing bowl, using a wooden spoon, mix together all dry ingredients. In a separate small bowl whisk together the oil, syrup and vanilla. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients. Fold mixture until well blended.

Spread mixture out onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Using a spatula gently fold mixture in pan. Place back in oven for 5 minutes. Again gently fold mixture. Finally bake for an additional 5 minutes without mixing. Remove from oven and let cool.

Once cool, mixture can be broken into large pieces and crumbled. Add dried fruit for additional flavor and protein. Granola is perfect served with yogurt or alone as a snack!More information:www.portsmouthpublickhouse.comSpecial event information:
