EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — WPRI 12 is bringing back its 12 Gives Back community initiative, recognizing and delivering thanks to those making a difference in our local community.
WPRI’s initiative was originally launched in 2019, but was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020.
Again once a month, WPRI 12 will identify, highlight and personally thank people and organizations in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts giving of their time and making other sacrifices to help others.
Watch for “12 Gives Back” honorees each month starting again on Oct. 10 on 12 News, WPRI.com, and live on WPRI 12’s Facebook Page.

The new initiative is made possible with the help of its new sponsor Somerset Federal Credit Union.
