Rosie Langello joined the 12 Sports team as a reporter in August 2020.
Prior to WPRI, Rosie was a sports reporter/anchor at WTAJ in Altoona, PA, where she earned a Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Award for her reporting in WTAJ’s high school football show, Sportsbeat. She covered Penn State athletics, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Saint Francis University and high school sports during her time at WTAJ. Rosie frequently filled in as a news anchor and producer in Altoona. She also spent her first year out of graduate school as a news producer/digital media manager at WBRE/WYOU in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Rosie received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications in 2016 from Bloomsburg University. During her time there, she was the president of her sorority Chi Theta Pi, contributed to BUnow.com and hosted her own show on Bloomsburg’s student-run radio station. In 2017, Rosie received her Masters of Science in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Chicago where she coincidentally had the opportunity to cover the Patriots in Super Bowl LI.
Raised in Central Pennsylvania, Rosie is thrilled to be so close to the state beaches in Rhode Island. You can find her reading on the beach, running down Blackstone Boulevard or on a basketball court.
