The Barrington native and two-time Associated Press Award-winning sportscaster served as sports director at WPRI 12 from 2000 until 2010. Patrick joined the 12 News team in June 1998 as weekend sports anchor. Patrick was promoted to sports director at WPRI on Jan. 1, 2000. Prior to returning to Rhode Island, he worked at WMUR-TV in Manchester, N.H., as a producer, reporter, and anchor for four years.

For Little, a 1994 graduate of St Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., “being able to come back to RI and work in the state I grew up in was a dream come true.”

His first taste of the media was in high school while interning at the Providence Journal. “I was covering a PawSox–Columbus Clippers game and I had to interview Deion Sanders! After spending five minutes with him, I knew that this was what I had to do for a living!”

Being involved in the community that he grew up in is very important to the 1990 Providence Country Day School graduate. Patrick is on the Big Brothers of Rhode Island advisory board and is a part of yearly fundraisers for Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Meeting Street School, and Special Olympics Rhode Island. He is also actively involved in research and fundraising for Butler Hospital which treats both children and adults for mental illnesses, substance abuse, and addiction. Patrick is also a coach and mentor with the Newport County Youth Hockey Organization, King Phillip Little League, and Portsmouth Youth Lacrosse.

In 2008, Patrick was named sportscaster of the year by the Rhode Island High School Athletic Directors Association for his dedication to covering local high school sports.

In the last decade, Patrick has covered both Red Sox World Series championships, four Super Bowls, three NCAA basketball tournaments, the Daytona 500 three times, both the women’s and men’s U.S. Open golf tournaments, and the Ryder Cup.

Patrick lives in the East Bay with his sons Connor and Cameron and daughter Casey. In his free time, you will probably see Patrick on a golf course!
