
Meteorologist Michelle Muscatello joined 12 News in September 2004. Michelle can be seen delivering local forecasts weekdays on 12 News This Morning and 12 News at Noon.
Like many weather enthusiasts, Michelle is passionate about the weather and has a great respect for Mother Nature. She has covered blizzards, hurricanes, tornadoes, nor’easters, cold spells, heat waves and everything in between. When she’s not watching the weather or tracking a storm, Michelle can be found traveling around Southern New England speaking at area schools and organizations about the weather.
Michelle is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. She earned a degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Certification in Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
In addition to her weather duties, Michelle is a weather and feature reporter for 12 News.
Michelle came to WPRI/WNAC-TV from WCIV-TV in Charleston, South Carolina, where she forecast the weather for the weekend broadcasts. While in South Carolina, she covered Hurricane Gaston’s direct hit to the area, along with the tornadoes, severe thunderstorms and flooding spawned by Hurricanes Charley and Frances.
Michelle was born in Butler, Pennsylvania, and now lives in Rhode Island with her husband and three kids.
