Matthew Paddock joined the 12 News team in June 2021 as a reporter and multimedia journalist.
He grew up in upstate New York and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcasting and mass communication from the State University of New York in Oswego (SUNY Oswego).
Matthew is beyond excited to call both the Ocean State and New England his home!
Prior to joining WPRI 12, Matt was a videographer at WSTM-TV in Syracuse, New York. From Syracuse, Matt traveled down I-81 to FOX affiliate WICZ-TV in Binghamton, New York, as an MMJ/weekend anchor. After a year in Binghamton, Matt would spend two more years in the Southern Tier in Elmira, New York, where he joined NBC affiliate WETM-TV as a morning anchor/producer and reporter.
In Matt’s free time, he enjoys attending sporting events, spending time outdoors and trying out the area’s best eateries. Despite growing up in New York, he is a die-hard fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
