Lauren Brill joined the 12 News team in March 2023 as a weekend reporter and multimedia journalist. Previously, Lauren worked for WUTR/WFXV in Utica, New York, as a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor/producer.
Lauren graduated from the Lawrence Herbert School of Communications at Hofstra University with a degree in journalism and minor in political science. At Hofstra, she was a member of WRHU 88.7 FM, Hofstra Today and The Society of Professional Journalists.
She was awarded a Press Club of Long Island Award and a Folio Award for her reporting at WRHU. During her time at Hofstra, she interned at MSNBC, where she worked as a production assistant on their weekend shows. She also interned with Pioneer Valley Radio and Long Island Bride and Groom Magazine.
Lauren is no stranger to New England. Originally from Granby, Massachusetts, she is thrilled to be closer to family and friends. When she’s not at work, Lauren enjoys shopping and going to the gym.
