Kait Walsh feels honored to be part of your morning routine every day as the weekday morning anchor alongside Patrick Little. She takes it to heart that you trust her to deliver the news of Southern New England each morning. What happens here really matters to Kait. She grew up in Swansea and lives in Southcoast Massachusetts.
Before WPRI, Kait was the weekday morning anchor at our sister station, WWLP-22News in Springfield, Mass. In her four years there, she traveled the country, reporting from the Super Bowl in Phoenix, the Red Sox World Series celebration at the White House, the New Hampshire presidential primaries, and several political stories in Washington, D.C.
Kait started her career at New England Cable News as a writer while studying at Boston University. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in journalism, a degree in political science, and a minor in Spanish. She recently taught a newsroom class at BU, which was a rewarding experience for her.
Kait has experience behind the scenes, too. After college, she worked as a producer and multimedia journalist for WCSH6 in Portland, Maine.
Kait is active on social media, constantly updating you on news stories and sharing photos of adventures with her colleagues, friends and family. Kait lives with her husband, son and daughter in Massachusetts.
