Catie joined the 12 News team as a meteorologist in June 2023.
She’s always had a fascination with weather and knew she wanted to be a meteorologist at just 5 years old.
Catie was born and raised in Providence and graduated from North Providence High School, where she was able to take meteorology and environmental science classes through its virtual high school program.
She went on to graduate from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in geosciences with a concentration in broadcast and operational meteorology in May 2023. While at MSU, she was a part of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Club.
Catie previously attended Vermont State University at Lyndon and SUNY Oswego. She went storm chasing out west as part of SUNY Oswego’s Storm Observation Team in summer 2019, which really solidified her love for the field of meteorology and gave her a vaster knowledge of severe weather and its impacts.
Prior to starting her career at WPRI 12, she was an intern in summer 2022.
When not in the Pinpoint Weather Center, Catie enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities like hiking, swimming and kayaking, and going to concerts and sporting events.
