American Cancer Society – Relay for Life
The annual Relay For Life local event series has been impacted by COVID-19. It has grounded many ACS events, which make up nearly half of their fundraising. To continue fighting cancer and providing critical services for patients — we need your help. Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and coordinated and staffed by local volunteers. These events bring people and communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer.
The fight against cancer won’t be postponed.
Cancer won’t stop. So neither can we. Help us continue programs like cancer screening, 24/7 navigation and support, and research for treatment and cures – programs that are critical for cancer patients now and in the future. We need your donations more than ever! »

CVS Health Charity Classic
CVS Health Charity Classic Announces Postponement
Due to the ongoing challenges and health concerns associated with COVID-19, organizers of the 22nd Annual VS Health Charity Classic announced the public event series will not take place as scheduled from June 18-22, 2020. This includes the CRAVE RI food festival and the Pepsi Pro-Am.
The CVS Health Charity Classic is one of our community’s largest summer gatherings and our hope is to determine the best way to keep that sense of community while respecting current social distancing safety guidelines. This will include exploring holding virtual and rescheduled events.
The CVS Health Charity Classic remains committed to supporting its Southern New England nonprofit partners and continues to identify opportunities to support those organizations in 2020.
Since its inception, the CVS Health Charity Classic has raised more than $23 million for Southern New England nonprofit organizations that provide vital funding to a range of programs serving children and families.

In light of the ongoing threat of COVID-19, we have made the decision to unite our LoveBash for Animals and Yappy Hour summer event into a single Virtual Yappy Hour on July 12. With so many unknowns regarding the future of large gatherings, we feel strongly that this is the responsible decision with regard to the safety and well-being of you, our staff, volunteers, and community supporters.
We invite you and your pets to join us virtually for a week of inspiring stories, an online auction, special guests, surprises and more – all from the comfort of your home. Events will begin a few weeks prior and culminate on July 12 at Virtual Yappy Hour. Come as you are, or dress to impress. It’s up to you. (You’ll be in the comfort of your home anyway!)
Your LoveBash ticket purchase will be honored at Yappy Hour 2020 where you will be recognized as a sponsor during our program. Your donation will go even further to help the animals in our care, and you will be sent an acknowledgement indicating 100% tax deductibility of your donation. Every donation will go to our Pet Protection Fund to build our community’s resiliency and ensure animals will be safe throughout these difficult times.
We can’t wait to raise a glass with you in July and share heartwarming stories of the lifesaving work we do together with you each day, the impact of your ongoing support, and the vital connection between our community and mission to enrich the lives of pets and people who love them.

Hasbro Children’s Hospital – Heroes Ball
The 2020 Heroes Ball Fund-a-Need
While the Heroes Ball cannot take place this year, it is vitally important to shine a light on what would have been this year’s fund-a-need: the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology program.
Caring for children with blood disorders and cancers is a complex, protracted process, as disease recurrence and treatment-related issues can result in long-term protocols, therapies, and follow-up. The silver lining is that our staff gets to spend so much time with these kids and their families, so much so that they become like family to us, too. In turn, Hasbro Children’s Hospital becomes like a second home to them.
Please watch the video below highlighting this year’s fund-a-need.
With your support, our program will provide that extra special home away from home that every child and family in our care needs and deserves.
Thank you in advance for your outstanding support during this very critical time in the history of our hospital and community.
