Walk with Me Providence is happening on Saturday, June 9 to support children and adults living with autism.

Tracey Colucci and Mike Goduto visited The Rhode Show to discuss the upcoming event.

The walk will benefit Easter Seals, an organization whose mission is to help people will all types of disabilities. Each year they help roughly one million people.

In addition to free carousel rides and food, other entertainment and activities will be provided.

“There will be a storyteller there walking around telling stories with the children, we’ll be able to walk around the park,” said Colucci, a member of the Easter Seals Board of Directors.

The walk and entertainment is all in hopes of raising money to help those in need.

“It’s a great cause. I’ve seen the families that we’ve helped. To see the hope and the things that we can offer them to support them in their times of need it’s just a great feeling that you see how we’ve been able to affect their lives in a positive manner,” said Goduto.

Walk with Me Providence will be held on Saturday, June 9 at the Roger Williams Park Carousel. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the walk beginning at 10:00 a.m.
