PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Rhode Island State Police have arrested a man accused of double murder in the Dominican Republic.
Juan Carlos Zapata-Lara was taken into custody in July.
The 29-year-old was arrested after officials learned he illegally entered the United States and was living in Providence under a different name.
When police found him, he was in possession of 45 grams of heroin.
He's being held without bond at the ACI.
