BARRINGTON, R.I. (WPRI)- Barrington residents will be without their annual fireworks display again this year.

Town officials have asked homeowners to refrain from lighting off fireworks at the beach again this year.

Authorities say there would be a potential liability to the town if anyone was injured.

Residents have been holding their own display at the town beach for the past 13 years.
