Drug-accused dad bail revoked

Accused of taking 5-year-old on drug deal with him

29-year-old Anthony DeSimone returned to court Friday morning on drug charges -- after accusations he'd brought his 5-year-old son with him on the drug deal.

A judge revoked DeSimone's bail because of previous drug charges.

His new bail was set at $20,000 surety.

Providence Police said on Aug. 1, DeSimone had gone to a neighborhood near the Chad Brown apartment complex, gotten out of his car to make a drug deal in another car off Oregon St., and left the boy alone in the car.

When Eyewitness News went to DeSimone's Woonsocket home, DeSimone himself wouldn't comment, but a man who identified himself as DeSimone's brother said he was glad his brother got caught.

The alleged drug dealer in the case, Brian Doire, 19, is also facing numerous charges.
