PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Dozens of Southern New Englanders lined up Thursday for a chance to become a local TV star.
The Rhode Show held its 5th annual Search for a Star casting call at Twin River Casino in Lincoln.
Viewers were given a chance to show off their colorful personalities and earn a one-year gig co-hosting the show.
Michaela Johnson won the contest two years ago. Now, dozens of people are hoping to fill the seat of current co-host Mary Larsen.
"I have my own unique little quirkiness and sense of humor and hopefully I can bring a little style to it," said Leah Manachi.
Contestants will find out if they made it to the top 20 Monday October 8.
