PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Once the vows have been said and the rings have been exchanged, it's time to celebrate, and your choice in music is a crucial component to your reception.
Luke Renchan, owner of Luke Renchan Entertainment joined The Rhode Show to give some great tips in deciding the right songs for your playlist.
"The playlist is a huge part of the reception," said Renchan. "It can make or break your wedding. If you want to have a good time, obviously you've got to plan it out."
Renchan strongly suggests to spend time with your disc jockey of choice and develop a relationship prior to the wedding for best results.
He also says that choosing music that people know is important in getting people on the dance floor.
"If you pick something that doesn't have a fun beat, if it's just not something people will recognize, they're not going to get on the dance floor," said Renchan. "If they don't know it, they're not going to dance to it."
