Each new year takes on a life of its own and 2013 happens to be the year of the snake according to the Chinese zodiac.
Reverend Mother, Susan Asselin from Mother Mystic Spiritual Apothecary informed us on what the coming year may have in store.
This year actually marks the year of the water snake "In Chinese astrology there are five elements and they repeat in a pattern every 60 years," said Asselin.
Parents of those born this year should be aware of certain behavior patterns.
"Snakes are very charming people and the water snakes are especially charming. They will be very persuasive people, they are people who get what they want, they are also people who are commitment oriented," she added.
In addition, water snakes love beauty and luxury.
The energy this year is very powerful transformation energy. Asselin suggests incorporating the color of ice blue in your surroundings. She suggests looking further into the details. Things are not always what they seem.
Mother Mystic also provides tarot card readings at her apothecary where folks can find out more about their career path for the year, love life, or how a big change may affect them. She teaches various classes including reiki treatment which comes from Japan and works as a relaxation therapy "It's especially beneficial for people that are going through traumatic health issues because it can help the body to relax and let the regular medicine work."
