WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - Warwick police are investigating a "suspicious death" in a city park.
Police confirm that the body of a man was discovered Saturday morning in a wooded area at City Park, near a baseball field.
Late Saturday afternoon, police confirmed that the body of a white male in his sixties was found in a trash barrel adjacent to a ball field.
Witnesses say police officers put an end to a softball game that was being played nearby when the discovery was made.
Police say the incident is not a suicide. The investigation is ongoing.
